General Surgery
General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on the alimentary tract and abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix, bile ducts, and often the endocrine organs such as the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, and adrenal glands. General surgeons also deal with diseases involving the skin, breast, soft tissue, trauma, peripheral artery disease and hernias and perform endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr. Richardson is a board certified General Surgeon recognized by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
